Recommend Booking a Hotel Nearby
Because we begin at 6:30 am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and sometimes finish at 9:00 or 10:00 pm, if you do not live close by, we highly recommend you book a hotel room in Huntsville.
Some inside volunteers will meet on Wednesday at 2:00 pm for set-up within the prison.
Some outside support team volunteers will meet on Wednesday to stage the food at the church.
On Thursday All Volunteers we will meet at the church in Huntsville at 11 am.
Sunday we are normally finished by around 2 pm (visitors), or 5:00 pm (take down team).

When making a reservation, please advise the hotel you have the 2026 State of Texas Hotel Occupancy Tax Exemption Certificate and IRS 501 c (3) Determination Letter. Please print them and take them with you.
Some hotels may accept the above documents to reduce the taxes you may. You will still be responsible for local or city taxes.

One Hotel where we have a Block of Rooms:
These rooms at Days Inn will be available for Goree Weekend #3 at the guaranteed rate until March 18th , when the unreserved rooms will automatically drop from our reservation block. At that time, you may still contact Days Inn for reservations, however, they will be subject to the current availability and rate.
